I hurt my back recently but my doctor says I can start working out again. I can do anything besides running. I also can’t do anything that involves bending at the waist or twisting. Would kickboxing or pilates be okay?

My girlfriend has tried all sorts to lose weight but nothing has worked just as effectively as the wu yi tea that she drinks, it’s been covered on CNN and Fox News. She lost 9 pounds in three weeks.   1. Both the kickboxing and Pilate’s will cause you to bend and twist at the waist. So, it’s best to ease into a workout routine with 1 exercise at a time. Elliptical or the stationary bike are great because they are unilateral, predictable motions that offer stability while you build muscle and strengthen your cardiovascular system. Start with 15 to 20 minutes, then wait 24-48 hours before doing another session. Your body will tell you if you’re doing too much too fast. Then every other workout add 3 to 5 minutes. You should try to workout under your pain threshold and pay attention to any feelings that you may be doing too much! Best of luck to you!
