Question by Ava: What is the best way to lose weight in my butt and thighs?
I’m giving myself the summer to get healthy. I weight about 143 pounds but all the weight goes to my butt and thighs. By the end of the summer ideally I’d like to be at 125 but realistically I am very unmotivated and lazy so I don’t see me losing more than maybe 10 pounds. I have a tredmil in my house and that is my only equipment. So how could I go about losing some of the fat from my butt and thighs? Thanks

Go to youtube.com and type in Dr. Neal Barnard. He has a lot of videos you can watch. I recommend his series of 4 short videos, total time under an hour. He hardly mentions exercise in the videos, but he’s very much in favor of it.

There are a lot of other videos you will see advertised on YouTube. I encourage you to give them a try.

  1. Well, you got to motivate yourself. ‘Im very unmotivated and lazy..’ Well, it’s not a disease honey is something YOU have to and will change. because everyone has to change it if they want to loose weight don’t just accept it you know.
    It’s not only you that is unmotivated and lazy, you think hot people were born being hot? they worked for it just like you should. they had the same problems you have and got far.
    Just think where you want to be, everyday think of you being sexy and hot and work for it, you got to work hard there is no easy way. i know here, they always teach people there is an easy way out, i’ve noticed that, but there isn’t. if you want something you work for it.
    Just don’t eat fast food, don’t eat much sweets or candy and no pop.
    eat homemade meals they are way better than packaged things. i never eat packaged things they are gross.
    Also for excercise, just push yourself, run 2 miles a day.
    Do sit ups and push ups and squats whenever you can, now is summer you got a lot of time and whenever you do it think of you with a really hot body all the guys look at, and you will go far. you will get tired but even after you do keep going, think about you having that hot body you want.

    You can do it.

Also, short videos and short workouts don’t help you that much even if they say so, you got to work REALLY hard to get it, there aren’t special excercises that help you loose more, and if there are they don’t change much, just about a 3 minute difference you know? You got to excercise for just 2 hours a day, that’s very little.
    Just really, do things that get you tired and that you feel in your muscles and when you are tired keep doing it.

  2. cut out sugar
    cut out things that are very high in sodium and have no good carbs
    cut out excessive use of pasta
    cut out bread by a huge margin
    limit milk consumption
    eat fruits, vegetables, eggs, healthy yogurt’s not the high in sugar ones, eat nuts, and salads, and chicken and fish.

    excersise at last 15 minutes a day. Preferably 30 minutes or more

    Start running or anything that makes you sweat a lot and gets your heart rate up. It will start to come off trust me

    Also you have to lose weight in general you cant only lose weight in 1 area.

  3. So you’ll need some cardio for burning off the fat as well as toning 😀

    For toning, you need to lose a bit of weight to show the “toning through” if that makes sense. You’re not really losing weight since it’ll be replaced with muscle (that you’ve toned up) because you probably have untoned “fat” if that makes sense.

    Since you’re female you’d want to do toning exercises that build lean muslces, so I suggest 30-60minutes of pilates a day, but you should always have a recovery day. Start out with 30minutes and eventually after maybe 2 weeks work your away up to 40/60. So every 3 days pilates, rest, and 3 days again of pilates. They’re really easy to do with your favourite TV show, revising etc.

    Here’s a YouTube channel I’m using atm, I’ll send you some for thighs, legs and butt. There’s loads on the channel though, there’s even a 30minute pilate workout! They’re absolotely killer!!

    And you should pair all of this with some cardio, and since you have a treadmill, you can go on it for 30minutes/45minutes. You could put your laptop in front or something that’s what I do, and listen to music, go on chatroulette haha! But don’t ever give up, the extra 5minutes makes all the difference! And remember you’re doing it for you 🙂

    Also try to drink 2Litres of water a day, what I did was, bought a massive 2L bottle of evian, and changed the lid to a “sucker” lid as opposed to a cap lid, so I felt more inclined to drink it.
