Hi, I really want to lose 30lbs because I’m about 50lbs overweight. But I also want to get a really tight core like I used to have but I don’t know whether I should start running and lose the weight first and THEN start pilates for my abs and stuff or if I should do both.

  1. Running is TERRIBLE for your joints and knees, I wouldn’t suggest that honestly. I’ve known several people who, after running daily, completely wrecked their legs, and now they can’t run at all. There are Pilates workouts that help your legs too, but make sure to do research before you decide if you’re going to run, because you may regret it later on. Just trying to help you out =)
